Good morning, beloved,

Back to reality, right? My hubby returns to work. Many kids around us go back to school today. We are not starting up just yet. We are still on break. Although, my kids would not call it such, what with the purging and cleaning we’ve accomplished these last days. It feels good to let go, give away, release. My brain has a hard time letting go of stuff. I want to keep it all to remember and what ends up happening is stress from all the useless stuff.

It feels good to open a cabinet and find it useable. It feels right to not have so many clothes, to be rid of games where the kids have lost most of the pieces, be rid of towels with bunches of holes…to start a new year with hope of continuing routines and structures that I have long let go because of pain and dizziness, it feels good.

I heard Chuck Swindoll last night. I couldn’t catch all of it, but he spoke of finding joy in this day. Finding each day precious as he finds himself older and older. Remembering what is most important.

Psalm 90:

12 So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.

13 Turn, O Lord [from Your fierce anger]! How long—? Revoke Your sentence and be compassionate and at ease toward Your servants.

14 O satisfy us with Your mercy and loving-kindness in the morning [now, before we are older], that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad in proportion to the days in which You have afflicted us and to the years in which we have suffered evil.

16 Let Your work [the signs of Your power] be revealed to Your servants, and Your [glorious] majesty to their children.

17 And let the beauty and delightfulness and favor of the Lord our God be upon us; confirm and establish the work of our hands—yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it.

Teach us to number our days…

Teach (yada): to perceive and see, find out and discern

Number (manah ): to count, reckon, number, assign, tell, appoint, prepare

Days (yowm): days, lifetime

that we may get us (present) a heart ofwisdom…

Present(bow’): to bring in, cause to come in, gather, cause to come, bring near, bring against, bring upon

Wisdom (chokmah): wisdom, prudence (in religious affairs)

What a prayer to begin this day! Lord, please teach me, help me perceive, help me discern all You have for me in this day. Help me remember how precious this day truly is to You, to me. Lord, may I through this day be filled with Your wisdom. That I may gain Your heart, see life through Your eyes, delight in Your ways..so that I may bring You a heart filled with wisdom, prudence:

Cautious; circumspect; practically wise; careful of the consequences of enterprises, measures or actions; cautious not to act when the end is of doubtful utility, or probably impracticable (1828 Webster dictionary definition)

Lord, fill us with Your Spirit that we may be cautious, careful and think through our words, our thoughts.

And let the beauty and delightfulness and favor of the Lord our God be upon us; confirm and establish the work of our hands—yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it.

My thankfuls (how about you? 😉 )

85. I’m thankful for my boys having a youth group that they enjoy and anticipate.

86. I’m thankful for warm floors that keep my feet toasty on these cold days.

87. I’m thankful for another day, may I, at the end of the day, look back and see the Spirit’s movements in my day.

Pray on. Pray on.

“So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].” Isaiah 26:4

Good afternoon, friends,

Hosanna, in the highest…we cry out to YOU, Lord. We cry in the midst of the desert. To You, O LORD, we commit our ways.

We commit ourselves to YOU.

We lean on You.

Landscape , Geography of Israel by אלי קובין

Listening to music as I pick out pictures, I am reminded how critical it is I go back to what I know to be true.

The battle of the mind..is hard for us, is it not?

We need. No, crave peace. Can we find that without Him?

Um. Nope.

In fact, I’m living proof of that fact.

So I lean on the Word. I lean into the music that proclaims His Word. His Truth.

And I tell that roaring lion, Satan…he has no place here.

This land is Jesus’.

I’m Jesus’ kid.

I’m not who the lies whisper I am.

I’m free.

I’m Yours.

I’m not a plaything for the evil one.

We place our hope confidently in You. FOREVER.

How Great is our God. Name above all names.

18 And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship!] Isaiah 30:18

He is longing to be gracious to you.

Think of this, friends. Longing…

To show loving-kindness…

Wait for Him..

Look and long for His victory..

His favor..

His love..

His peace..

His joy…

His matchless companionship..

We are never, ever alone. His companionship is what we long for…no one can fill the longing that can be met in Him and Him alone.

Father, I cry to YOU and ask You to do what You want in my life. I give it all to You. It was always Yours anyway.

I just open my hand to You.

Cleanse me.

Renew me.

I love You, Lord…to You, O Lord. Worship Him. Adore Him. Clinging to the promise that You are not through with me yet.

Worship and thanks

Good morning, beloved,

Danny and I had a bad day of communicating on Saturday. It was not positive. At all. We were both very frustrated with one another. We apologized to one another. Parent asking for his forgiveness as well as seeking the Lord. So the next day, we determined it to be different.  Danny looked at me and said, It’s going to be a good day today, and every time I would begin to get worried or frustrated he would say that to me and the Spirit would lead my heart to say, Psalm 118:

24 This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 Save now, we beseech You, O Lord; send now prosperity, O Lord, we beseech You, and give to us success!

I would reply with this. Then Monday came, I wondered if we would continue and yes, yes he said it first. He is making a choice. And I am making a choice and now, last night the Lord showed me in a conversation with my Luker…I need to be saying this with all of my family, because if God‘s in it (and He is!), it is good.  So we exchanged the greeting, encouragement, whatever we should call it and our spirits lifted.

So today, we are continuing. I need this. I need to remember the truth and i thank my God for my son teaching me. I need it. Do you? Join us! It is amazing how our perspective changes.

Praise Him! Post His Word all over your house and call it out to one another. These sound so simple but I’m here to tell you, God’s Spirit changes everything. Everything. Are you in pain? Sing to HIM! Are you sad? Proclaim His Word back to Him. God loves you so much. That is something we hear so often, yet beloved, hear it. He loves you.  Are circumstances beyond your control? Reach out to Jesus. He is our comforter…

Good morning, beloved,

You wouldn’t believe the crazy day I had yesterday even if I told ya…spilled coffee grounds, three broken jars…we also had to play what’s that smell? And get a carpet out of the house…My apologies for not writing…everytime I tried…good grief…how easy it is to get caught up in earth.

The Whole Earth is full of His glory!

Psalm 100

5For the Lord is good;

Good-towb– to be good, be pleasing, be joyful, be beneficial, be pleasant, be favourable, be happy, be right…Rather than explain it myself, here’s the Lord to help you. 🙂

Psalm 86: 5 For You, O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive [our trespasses, sending them away, letting them go completely and forever]; and You are abundant in mercy and loving-kindness to all those who call upon You.

Psalm 107: 15 Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!

Psalm 119:68 You are good and kind and do good; teach me Your statutes.

His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting,

Lovingkindness-checed-goodness, kindness, faithfulness

Psalm 36:5 Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, extend to the skies, and Your faithfulness to the clouds.

Psalm 118: 1O GIVE thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

2Let Israel now say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

3Let the house of Aaron [the priesthood] now say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

4Let those now who reverently and worshipfully fear the Lord say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

Pray on..friends…pray on…
