Good morning, beloved,

So good to be in His presence this morning..I am feeling His molding this morning. I made my own priorities again last night. I don’t like when I get ahead of my Lord. I hear the Word of the Lord in Luke 40 And Jesus, replying, said to him, Simon, I have something to say to you. And he answered, Teacher, say it.  And sometimes, we need to allow the Lord to cut, and we need to humble ourselves when we see what we’ve done…sigh. Yet, I will report back to you, I did get a room of books organized. :) Umm, none to donate. ;) I have trouble. See, here’s my deal. I don’t want to get rid of kid’s books…for my grandkids. How silly is that…probably Jesus will be back for me before that..but maybe I should box ‘em up anyway. Let them gooooo…

I was captivated by this picture. Absolutely captivated. Can you imagine what the applause of heaven looks like? Or the hosts of heaven surrounding the throne? Obviously this is a poor substitute but it just lit a fire in me. To look ahead. To not hold on to the earth, to hold  the eternal, to love the kid’s hearts (not their books) ;), to run the race before me and finish well.

Joshua and I watched a movie until almost the end ( had to pick the kids up..) One of those movies for me that captured me, rocked me, challenged me, held me, and is making me think. And I think for me, that is the kind of movie I need to be watching. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I love me some Avengers, but I need to be thinking all the time (kind of drives Joshua a little bonkers..) LOL. The boy in the film reminds us of a boy in our life and we are very tempted to show our family the movie with many helps. We’ll see how it ends.  Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

Well, let’s dive in! Matthew 5:4 says: Blessed and enviably happy [with a happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace] are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted!

I’m struck by how vibrant the words are here, how about you? Blessing, happy…mourning…comfort. It doesn’t flow off the tongue, does it? :)

James 4:6-10

But He gives us more and more grace (power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it).

So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.

Come close to God and He will come close to you. [Recognize that you are] sinners, get your soiled hands clean; [realize that you have been disloyal] wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify your hearts [of your spiritual adultery].

[As you draw near to God] be deeply penitent and grieve, even weep [over your disloyalty]. Let your laughter be turned to grief and your mirth to dejection and heartfelt shame [for your sins].

10 Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant].

Hey, doesn’t verse 6 sound a little familiar? Haven’t we heard that before? ;)

Matthew 5: Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!

Don’t you love the Word?

Let’s look at verse 8, as we come close God..He will come close to You…but recognize what will happen…and the process as we walk towards the light of God.

  1. Recognize your sin
  2. Get your soiled hands clean
  3. Realize you have been disloyal with divided interests
  4. Purify your hearts of your spiritual adultery (not mincing words here, does he?)
  5. be deeply penitent, grieve, weep over your disloyalty
  6. let your laughter turn to tears
  7. have heartfelt shame
  8. Finally humble yourselves and He will exalt you. He will.

Do you see how Jesus affected James’ teaching? It’s amazing, isn’t it? How does this impact you? We have to look at our sin with a clear eye. We cannot be blind to its effects in our lives, on our families, don’t sugar coat it. Gag.

Take some time today. I know I need to…walk through this list…and recognize..

Pray on, beloved. Pray on.

Humble…?

Arctic Tern Photographed in Scalloway harbour by Hugh Meechan

Good morning, beloved of God,

Well, yesterday was an unexpected day. I had my plan and then a stomach-ache made it a completely impossible to move forward with my plans. It was a day in bed. So strange. I’ve not had that before..and I’m fine today! My family went forward with their plans which was wonderful and I had quiet…no complaint..yet, I was contemplating writing another blog and I was fiddling with the WordPress site and found I have a ton of SPAM mail. I went in to clean it out and read it. Oh friends, all of this lovely email…people writing such nice things…why was this SPAM? I was so confused. People really liked me! Wow! I felt my chest puffing up.  This was great. This could really add to my blog. Traffic…and then the gentle voice of the Lord Most High…and then He led me to remember…

It was SPAM. It was the same repeating comments. They were all coming from the same site traffic. I’m not exactly sure how it works, but self-praise is a slippery slope..this blog has never been about me..this blog is about the Lord’s work in and through my life, my family’s life and Bible, worship and prayer. How quickly silly words can get my mind on the wrong motives..me..and I reaffirm to whomever reads this and before God, I write this blog to His glory. I write this blog to know Him and His glory. People’s praise is so fleeting and I cannot depend upon it.

No chains on me! You are always here for me, Lord.  Now, you might not have a blog, yet, how about someone commenting on your clothes, hair, children’s behavior..whatever? Do you long for that more that for the “Well done…?” I’m telling you, beloved, the praise of our people is nothing compared to the loving eyes of Jesus upon us. Stay the course. Hear the voice of Jesus saying, 20 Neither for these alone do I pray [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching,21 That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me. (John 17)

Well, let me just say, it was humbling..and now to share it with the world. Ha! Let’s head back to the teachings of the Sermon on the Mount..let’s jump ahead to Matthew 9 and see what Jesus taught the Pharisees about where His heart remained…

10 And as Jesus reclined at table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and [especially wicked] sinners came and sat (reclined) with Him and His disciples.

11 And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, Why does your Master eat with tax collectors and those [preeminently] sinful?

12 But when Jesus heard it, He replied, Those who are strong and well (healthy) have no need of a physician, but those who are weak and sick.

13 Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy [that is, readiness to help those in trouble] and not sacrifice and sacrificial victims. For I came not to call and invite [to repentance] the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God), but sinners (the erring ones and all those not free from sin).

Are you thankful Jesus came for the erring ones and all those not free from sin? Those who are weak and sick…Jesus had come to save. We have to recognize our need. Have to! Our own righteousness is as filthy rags..let’s look at Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the Law [the limit at which it ceases to be, for the Law leads up to Him Who is the fulfillment of its types, and in Him the purpose which it was designed to accomplish is fulfilled. That is, the purpose of the Law is fulfilled in Him] as the means of righteousness (right relationship to God) for everyone who trusts in and adheres to and relies on Him.

So, let’s look carefully at that verse..Christ Jesus is the end of the Law..meaning the purpose of the Law is fulfilled in Him…so that a right relationship with God could be found to righteousness..for everyone who trusts in and relies on Him.

Love it. Christ Jesus is the fulfillment. Are you able to grasp this right relationship for your very own? You bet your sweet stars you can…how? read that verse again! :)

Let’s now look through Matthew 713 Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it.14 But the gate is narrow (contracted by pressure) and the way is straitened and compressed that leads away to life, and few are those who find it.

How in the world can you parallel Matthew 5:1-3

Seeing the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and when He was seated, His disciples came to Him.

Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!

and these verses? Not easily at first but keep looking..LOL. It seems counter-intuitive to be humble in the world’s eyes, doesn’t it? Being the servant, being the insignificant, the one to be ordered…I cannot say that is all the rage in our culture. Our culture is the wide, spacious gate…and it is to our destruction, is it not, beloved? We have adopted so many of the cultures’ values to our destruction, our families..oh, man, don’t get me started.

Anyway, stay focused, girl. The narrow gate..the poor in spirit…is blessing! You will be blessed, happy, envied, spiritually prosperous with life, joy…keep going…find the narrow gate!

Let’s confess our absolute need for our Saviour and Lord. Let’s stay humble and ask the Lord to help us to keep our feet towards the narrow way…

Pray on. Pray on..

Poor in spirit…

Blue Peacock (Pavo cristatus) on the sleeping tree, photographed in Heidelberg (Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany) by 4028mdk09

Good morning, beloved of God,

A quiet morning with little birds,  it is good to be up early before all the craziness of life. We live by train tracks and so I, most of the time, don’t even “hear” the trains going by. In a morning like this, when I  hear the worship of God’s creation…oh, I hear it alright.

Today’s verse from BibleGateway…“The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]! For the Chief Musician; with my stringed instruments.” Habakkuk 3:19 AMP

Before I carry on, I want to let you know about a book that is transforming my financial life and her blog. Her name is Kelly Hancock and her book is called, Saving Savvy and her blog/website is www.faithfulprovisions.com. She has turned my thinking upside down and I am very grateful. I listened to her book in the car and now my eldest is shopping with me and my younger ones are clipping coupons and getting rid of expired coupons…yet all to gear to a life that can be lived generously. And I love that. She doesn’t overwhelm with information. She carefully adds new information..gives solid facts, reviews at the end of each chapter, has wonderful stories to illustrate her points…well, we’ve been already saving it has just been three weeks. Thank You, Lord.

I am a little amused with myself that I choose today to bring up that book with the subject of today’s study…but well, that is the book I have worked through and I did just finish it…you will find this does mean something a little different tho…;)

So today we are back in Matthew 5 focusing in on verse 3

Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!

Poor: lacking in anything, as respects their spirit, destitute of wealth of learning and intellectual culture which the schools afford (men of this class most readily give themselves up to Christ‘s teaching and proved themselves fitted to lay hold of the heavenly treasure)

The root word here means to crouch (ptosso) or to be terrified or to descend and fall to a prostrate place…

in spirit: the sentient element in man, that by which he perceives, reflects, feels, desires, Mat 5:3;

The root word here means to breathe, to blow of the wind…

“Poor in spirit simply means to be a beggar, a pauper in spirit, to know that you have nothing to offer. It is a lowliness which is the opposite of pride.” (Precept Ministries, Sermon on The Mount, p. 12)

Can I get an amen? How often to we realize how little we have and yet that is how God wants us. He wants to be close and near and hold us. Let’s look at some other verses…

Psalm34:18 The Lord is close to those who are of a broken heart and saves such as are crushed with sorrow for sin and are humbly and thoroughly penitent.

Psalm 51: 17 My sacrifice [the sacrifice acceptable] to God is a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart [broken down with sorrow for sin and humbly and thoroughly penitent], such, O God, You will not despise.

Isaiah 57: 15 For thus says the high and lofty One—He Who inhabits eternity, Whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, but with him also who is of a thoroughly penitent and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the thoroughly penitent [bruised with sorrow for sin].

Isaiah 66: 1Thus says the Lord: Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. What kind of house would you build for Me? And what kind can be My resting-place?

For all these things My hand has made, and so all these things have come into being [by and for Me], says the Lord. But this is the man to whom I will look and have regard: he who is humble and of a broken or wounded spirit, and who trembles at My word and reveres My commands.

Anyone need to hear that today? We started singing this yesterday..actually my son just started singing this out of the blue and I’ve sung it ever since. :) Enjoy.

Well, beloved, thank you for reading this morning. I need to get moving. I will pick up again tomorrow morning.

Pray on. Pray on!

Sheep grazing by the Eskdale railway by Nigel Chadwick

Good morning, beloved of God,

You know it, right? You know you are loved? Yesterday, my Mom and I worked all day in our garden plot. We planted, tended, mulched, babied, pulled, (I ate radishes and fresh onions..) and watered. We watched people come and go with their gardens. Our garden is, um eclectic. We have tripods to have beans, cucumbers, and other climbing plants to grow up…and one of the tripods is a recycled mop. Hey, we use what we have…yet, there, for me, was great joy and great exhaustion in working with my hands. I’ve never done this, really before…

In talking with people, I learn so much about my walk of faith. A woman asks us what to do about her beans…she’s already asked a master gardener…her car is running, her kids are running through her garden..cute as buttons…she fills up her watering can a couple of times and they are off.  A couple of plants boxes in their huge plot and only uses half of their plot. Another plot seems to be a community plot a moms and their kids..disorganized chaos! LOL…

What does this teach me about faith? I can go around looking to different sources for help, read many different self-help books (yes..that’s good, I’ll try that…), not spend time on opening up with my God..keeping my motor on idle so I can zoom off to my next activity. Or I have these gifts God has given me to share with the body of Christ and I only share it partly. I only give a little. Ouch. Or  I can make my faith so noisy that I never am quiet. I am never silent and listening before my God and Savior….Ouch again.

Sigh…but wait…remember! Remember!!

The life of the blessed is not easy..He never said it would be…Yet, I think some further definitions of the blessed is critical for our study as we surge forward.

First, let’s get Matthew 5 out here…

5 Seeing the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and when He was seated, His disciples came to Him.

Blessed and enviably happy [with a happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace] are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted!

Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth!

Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied!

Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy!

Blessed (happy, enviably fortunate, and spiritually prosperous—possessing the happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see God!

Blessed (enjoying enviable happiness, spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the makers andmaintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!

10 Blessed and happy and enviably fortunate and spiritually prosperous (in the state in which the born-again child of God enjoys and finds satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of his outward conditions) are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake (for being and doing right), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!

11 Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of your outward conditions) are you when people revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you falsely on My account.

12 Be glad and supremely joyful, for your reward in heaven is great (strong and intense), for in this same way people persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Let’s review who are blessed:

  1. Poor in spirit
  2. Meek
  3. Hunger and Thirst for righteousness
  4. Merciful
  5. Pure in heart
  6. Makers and maintainers of peace
  7. Persecuted for righteousness’ sake

Review the definitions of blessed:

  1. happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions
  2. with a happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace
  3. in the state in which the born-again child of God enjoys and finds satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of his outward conditions

Jesus was speaking to the crowds and these blessings were to encourage those who were enjoying God‘s salvation, favor, grace and finds satisfaction in Him..no matter His outward conditions. The Sermon is all Christians. All Christians…

Well, my morning begins…tomorrow..the poor in spirit…pray on. pray on!

BLESS…

Good morning, beloved,

June 6….A day to give me pause. I remember. I remember bravery. When I opened Commons this morning, this was the picture that greeted me…courage in the face of inexplicable horror.  Our military willing to go into the line of fire for our freedom…have you prayed for our military today?  I found this prayer on here:

  • wonderful way to pray for a soldier is “five blessings”: Think of the word BLESS, and it will help you cover his or her life with prayer.
    • The B stands for BODY. For example, you might pray for physical protection, safety and health.
    • The L stands for LABOR, pray for them to do their job well, with skill and wisdom.
    • The E stands for EMOTIONAL—pray for their emotional health.
    • The S stands for SOCIAL—pray for their marriage, the parent-child relationship (deployments are hard on marriages & with parents away for months; the children can feel distant or abandoned and have trouble understanding why dad or mom isn’t there.) Pray for God to fill the gaps of the love needed with His love while the parent is away.
    • And the last S stands for SPIRITUAL—pray for them to know God, put their trust in God, and experience His unfailing love for them even in the great difficulties they face in a war zone, for spiritual renewal for our troops, for peace in Iraq and Afghanistan—and for all of the soldiers to come home safely to their families.

Think what could happen if every family, every church in America prayed for our soldiers, for victory and peace in Iraq and for them to return safely to their families and jobs.

Well, as we dive into week two of our study on Sermon on the Mount we open with Psalm 119:116 Uphold me according to Your promise, that I may live; and let me not be put to shame in my hope! Lord, guide us, direct us and may we bless as we learn about blessing today.

So, having Matthew 5:1-12 in front of us…

5 Seeing the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and when He was seated, His disciples came to Him.

Let’s look at the word Blessed first and the Amplified version does a rock solid job of defining it 11 times for us. LOL. So if you didn’t get it one time….;)

(happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of your outward conditions) In the blb.org… In the beatitudes the Lord indicates not only the characters that are “blessed,” but the nature of that which is the highest good.

So, let’s look at when and how the blessing is received..

  1. Is for the poor in spirit, the humble, those who rate themselves insignificant…theirs is the KOH
  2. Check out this one…blessed AND enviably happy(with a happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace)!..are those who mourn..they WILL be comforted
  3. Is for the  meek, mild, patient, long-suffering…they WILL inherit the earth
  4. Check out this on..blessed and happy and enviably fortunate and spiritually prosperous(in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) I love Jesus…are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…they will be COMPLETELY satisfied.  (I love all the ands…)
  5. Is for merciful…they will obtain mercy.
  6. Is for the pure in heart…they will SEE God!
  7. Is for the makers and maintainers of peace…they will be called the sons of God
  8. Check this out…Blessed and happy and enviably fortunate and spiritually prosperous …persecuted for righteousness’ sake…theirs is the KOH
  9. Is for YOU (well, they all are…)…when people revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you falsely on My account..
  10. Also…be glad and supremely joyful… persecution..just like the prophets.

We are going to look at this in more detail tomorrow…pray on. Pray on…Be encouraged.

Kingdom of Heaven and righteousness

Good morning, beloved, good morning,

I was on Biblegateway this morning and found a neat resource this morning that starts on June 1. They are starting a devo with Dietrich Bonhoeffer‘s writings that you can sign up for and have emailed to you every morning for 40 days. Not sure when I’ll fit that in..but I want to try. :) Here’s the link.

Also, I have been reading a remarkable book this week, now I will say I have 3/4 of the way through but so far, I keep interrupting Joshua and whatever he is doing to read him portions…he just loves that. :) Can’t help myself. It’s that good.

Surprised by Oxford by Carolyn Weber

Today, I am diving back into the words of the Savior. May I handle them with care and may the Lord direct and guide.

We are going through Matthew 5-7 and looking for mentions of kingdom of heaven and righteousness. And what we can learn from the mentions. Let’s start up. :) Definitions in the Greek first! :)

Kingdom-basileia-of the royal power and dignity conferred on Christians in the Messiah’s kingdom

of Heaven-ouranos-the region above the sidereal heavens, the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells and other heavenly beings

Righteousness-dikaiosynē-is found in the sayings of the Lord Jesus, of whatever is right or just in itself, whatever conforms to the revealed will of God,

Saint-Jean de Maurienne in Savoy (French Alps) by Semnoz

Matthew 5

Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!

Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied!

19 Whoever then breaks or does away with or relaxes one of the least [important] of these commandments and teaches men so shall be called least [important] in the kingdom of heaven, but he who practices them and teaches others to do so shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness (your uprightness and your right standing with God) is more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Schallenberg by Nienetwiler

Matthew 6

1Take care not to do your good deeds publicly or before men, in order to be seen by them; otherwise you will have no reward [reserved for and awaiting you] with and from your Father Who is in heaven.

10Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

13 And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

33 But seek ([z]aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ([aa]His way of doing and being right), and then all these things [ab]taken together will be given you besides.

Andorra February 2006. Unidentified location in one of the Grandvalira ski resorts.by Christof Damian (cdamian) from Barcelona, Spain

Matthew 7

21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.

Kingdom of Heaven…what do we learn? (Hereafter referred to as KOH)

  1. KOH is for “.. the humble, who rate themselves insignificant..”. This is blessing..
  2. KOH is for “..those who are being persecuted for the sake of righteousness..”.
  3. KOH is NOT for “…those who  breaks or does away with or relaxes one of the least [important] of these commandments and teaches men..”.
  4. KOH is for “…who practices them and teaches others to do so shall be called great…”
  5. KOH is for “..those whose wills are conformed to God’s will (righteousness-your uprightness and your right standing with God)…
  6. KOH is for “..those who do not to do your good deeds publicly or before men, to be seen by them…” You do them for God’s rewards…
  7. Jesus is teaching God’s kingdom to come, His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen!
  8. The kingdom is God’s and God’s alone..
  9. Our first aim in life is to seek after, strive after His kingdom(of the royal power and dignity conferred on Christians in the Messiah’s kingdom)…chew on that!
  10. Lastly, the KOH is for “…he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.”

Righteousness (of whatever is right or just in itself, whatever conforms to the revealed will of God)…what do we learn? :)

I think before I do that list I need to repeat the word Blessing…love this word! “ Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation). ” Please notice the word prosperous and then the word before it. SPIRITUALLY!  Just sayin’. I have never experienced greater peace than these past few years of extended time in His Word and prayer.

  1. Blessing for those who hunger (to crave ardently, to seek with eager desire) and thirst (those who are said to thirst who painfully feel their want of, and eagerly long for, those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, strengthened) for RIGHTEOUSNESS for they will be satisfied (to fill or satisfy with food is used metaphorically in Matt. 5:6) . Jesus is using word pictures here! Do you see it? Best teacher EVER! Keeping His audience in His sight. :)  Hunger, thirst, satisfaction…all found in the Father!
  2. Blessings for those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness…
  3. Your righteousness shall be more than the Pharisees to enter the KOH…a bit of a dig there?
  4. Seek first after the KOH and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right..) this seems a simple statement but the only way to know His way of doing things is to know His word and His righteousness…
