help…

Good afternoon, friends,

Normally, not a time for me to be on the web, but I have time and quiet and I want to dig in…I gotta dig in. I am in some dire straits in my mind. I am struggling and I need to hear from the Lord this afternoon. I am staring out over the water and I just need to hear Him. Financial troubles frustrate my waters, family agitates me and I need to lift my eyes and ask Him. If you find yourself needing Him this afternoon or maybe evening, join me…

Psalm 121

I will lift up my eyes to the hills [around Jerusalem, to sacred Mount Zion and Mount Moriah]—From whence shall my help come?

My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to slip or to be moved; He Who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand [the side not carrying a shield].

The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life.

The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Amen!~

I was just singing the song of that Psalm the other day in the car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwdi3pnQ4aQ
    It was a lulu song.

The kids and I memorized this Psalm…knowing that each of us would have need to call upon this truth during life’s valleys. Thank you for sharing. I will be praying that our faith would not fail, but be strengthened, that we would fully trust these words.

I’m on a mini retreat. I was turning into “mean” mommy, my “nasty” alter ego. I will be praying for both of us to get centered and breath in the Holy Spirit. Thank you for sharing. It is good to know I am not alone and be reminded that our God is BIG enough!
